Unlike the situation in Taiwan, Christmas in estern world is the peaceful time for family reunion after the whole-year-round hard work. Therefore, I went to Manchester to visit my friends there. Hogmanay is New Year's Eve in Scotland and the celebrations take place there at the time. It is, at least, the time for parties!Hogmanay這個詞是蘇格蘭才有的，除了指新曆除夕那天之外，一連串慶祝新年的活動可以以稱作Hogmanay。所以說跨年要到蘇格蘭來才過癮啊!
